Lilith Games released Rise of Kingdoms version 1.1.12 on September 22, 2026. It follows the 8th anniversary update from late August and sets up the game’s Halloween season, alongside a new kingdom-versus-kingdom event and a round of changes to the Lost Kingdom.
Halloween event series
The update brings a Halloween event series with its own themed events leading up to October 31. As usual for seasonal content, expect limited-time rewards, so check the events calendar in-game before the series ends.
Radiant Rivalry and the Camp Treaty
The headline feature is Radiant Rivalry, which Lilith marks as “available soon”: a competition in which two kingdoms are matched as rivals. The update also adds a new Camp Treaty feature and adjusts the Wheel of Fortune event. Five commanders join the Season of Conquest tavern — Choe Yeong, Shajar al-Durr, John Hunyadi, Philip II and Stephen III — and Clash of Divine Isles gets a set of optimizations.
Lost Kingdom and season changes
Several changes target the Lost Kingdom. In Season 3 (the King of All Britain story), the Eve of the Crusade event no longer asks you to pick a starting province: camps are assigned automatically during matchmaking, then receive buffs based on their total points in Eve of the Crusade. Domain matchmaking now allows different domains of the same kingdom to land in the same Lost Kingdom, the quest order in Will of the Ancients has been adjusted, and new individual season rank rewards include limited-time titles based on your performance.
Combat fixes and remastered troops
On the map, combat initiation has been reworked to stop “troop sliding”, which could happen when attack animations started too early. Graphics and combat settings have more options, Artemis’s Darkmoon Ambush skill now prioritises the caster’s troop in the Song of Troy Pantheon system, and devices with a medium graphics recommendation now show the remastered troop models by default — you can switch back under Unit Visuals.
