Where Winds Meet is leaving PC and PS5 behind as its only home. Everstone Studio and NetEase Games have confirmed a mobile version for iOS and Android landing December 12, with full cross-play and cross-progression against the existing PC and PlayStation 5 release.

Same account, same progress, any screen

NetEase is positioning this as a genuine continuation rather than a stripped-down spin-off: characters, gear and guild membership carry over, and PC or console players will be able to party up with friends on mobile without either side losing functionality. The mobile client also gets its own interface pass rather than a straight port of the PC UI.

Nine million players in three and a half months

The announcement also doubled as a health check on the game itself: Everstone Studio says Where Winds Meet has reached 9 million total players since its PC and PS5 launch on November 14, 2025, with an 88% positive rating cited from Steam. That's a big number for a wuxia open-world RPG competing with far bigger established live-service names, and it suggests the mobile version is being built to capture players rather than as a hedge against a shaky launch.

What hasn't changed

The core pitch stays the same across every platform: an open world set during China's Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, seven wuxia weapon styles, and a free-to-play model NetEase has kept limited to cosmetics rather than power. Pre-registration for the mobile version is open now.
