NTE: Neverness to Everness — the free-to-play open-world RPG from Hotta Studio and Perfect World Games — is no longer PC-only. The game launched on PS5 alongside its PC and mobile versions on April 29, 2026, putting console players inside the rain-slicked streets of Hethereau for the first time.

Current-gen only

The PS5 version is the only PlayStation release — Hotta Studio isn't bringing NTE to PS4. That lines up with the game's tech demands: a fully streamed open city with dense NPC and vehicle traffic, running on the same engine as the PC version rather than a scaled-down console port.

What you're stepping into

You play an unlicensed “anomaly hunter” working out of the Eibon antique shop, investigating supernatural cases across Hethereau alongside a cast of companions. Outside of missions, the game leans into lifestyle systems — home decoration, vehicle customization, seasonal shop stock — more than most open-world RPGs bother with.

Reception so far

On Steam, where the game has been available the longest, community reception has stayed strongly positive: a “Very Positive” rating from 83% of roughly 2,900 reviews at the time of writing, with the last 30 days holding at 80% of nearly 1,500 — a good early sign that the PS5 debut isn't dragging in new quality complaints.
